What is Vaastu:
Vaastu can be applied to any object or artifact or piece of art. However, it is most commonly applied to buildings, sites, properties, and structures. A room or building is said to have proper Vaastu when it meets its true purpose and the residentexperiences fulfillment. This can be accomplished by following a set of guidelines that are applied in a creative andindividualistic way to each project. There are three ideals that are applied within these guidelines: The need for space, the need for comfort, and the need for a thriving spirit. By using the cardinal directions and the elements, as well as other tools, Vaastu can help achieve harmony and alignment with natural principles in a dwelling space. When a dwelling space creates disharmony, there are remedial measures that can be used to pacify those specific influences. Vaastu is the predecessor to Chinese Feng Shui. While some overlap exists between the two practices, Vaastu has its unique features. One such feature is the use of Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology). The influence that a space has can vary from person to person and that influence can be understood by combining the person's horoscope to the Vaastu assessment. Once again, remedial measures can help specific individuals find peace within that space. In short, Vaastu can help you feel more fulfilled mentally, physically, and emotionally.
